GALAXY OF HOMES IN A NUTSHELL

Galaxy of Homes wanted to fulfil its corporate social responsibility aspirations by setting up Galaxy Foundation, its humanitarian arm based on unforced contributions from family and friends, landlord clientele, its own CSR fund, etc.

Galaxy Foundation Ltd. was successfully registered on February 27th, 2023 (World NGO Day) in the UK as a non-profit organization. Vikash and Madhurita Jayaswal are the directors of Galaxy Foundation Ltd.

And finally, on November 30th, 2023, Galaxy Foundation Ltd. was officially recognised as a charitable organisation in the UK. It has a long agenda of socially useful and productive work.

Meet Galaxy Gurukul

Galaxy Gurukul is committed to the belief that education has the power to eradicate poverty and uplift children, especially girls and those who are the first in their families to pursue learning. Through providing quality education, infrastructure, and resources, Galaxy Gurukul enables children to realise their capabilities and change their lives for the better. Looking ahead, Galaxy Gurukul aims to impact 600 students, fostering their growth and preserving their heritage. We invite you to be part of turning this vision into a tangible achievement.

Galaxy Gurukul School

Galaxy Foundation has set up a no-frills school in India named Galaxy Gurukul for the underprivileged children of marginal families in greater Kolkata (Madhyamgram) in April 2023. The first session of the school started on June 12th, 2023, with an all-women faculty and an initial student strength of over 100.

Galaxy Gurukul believes every child has the right to receive an education. It is key to building an independent, successful life and gives a child a better chance of escaping poverty. Education gives children an opportunity to find their strengths and empowers them to pursue a career, eventually providing for themselves as adults. Galaxy Gurukul’s goal is to enable and support children and young people in their education, to bring children to education, and to increase student retention.

Beyond educational support, Galaxy Gurukul is a school where the children also receive balanced nutrition, health check-ups, and counselling, as well as the opportunity to play and interact culturally. This project also gives priority admission to girls, who face, more severely, the consequences of poverty in our society.

Education

Education is the way to make learning fun for children, while education provides the strength to break the vicious cycle of poverty and illiteracy. Starting with the strength of 76, we aim to provide the right to education to over 600 children.

Wellness

Health and wellness enable children to continue their education with gusto and help them complete the said education successfully. Galaxy Gurukul provides the students with balanced nutrition, health check-ups, and counselling for their wellbeing.

Women Empowerment

Teachers are models for future generations. They have the power to inspire, educate, and empower young students to achieve their full potential. With women constituting 90% of Gurukul’s teachers’, they spread knowledge and inspire young buds to pursue true education.

Philantrophy

At Galaxy Gurukul, we believe that every child deserves a bright, educated future. For this, we raise funds through various creative campaigns. The EBC Trek charity challenge, the Mt. Snowdon fundraiser, and climbing Mt. Everest on a stairclimber are charity campaign initiatives.
